The successful candidate is responsible for instruction to students enrolled in courses in the Criminal Justice Department.
Individual is responsible to teach introductory and upper-level courses - five sections per semester.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the work of the Criminal Justice Department.
Integrate technology into classroom instruction.
Align instruction with the course goals and objectives of the department.
Description of DutiesTeach courses in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security curriculums.
Participate in departmental processes to include planning, curriculum development and assessment.
Participate with Criminal Justice club.
Foster relationships with our community criminal justice partners at the local, state and federal level.
Participate in Open House and recruitment activities.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:
Master's degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
Experience:
Five years of practical experience working in one of the following areas:
law enforcement, courts, or corrections.
Three years experience teaching at the college level preferred.
Adjunct teaching experience accepted.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to teach fully online courses.
Preferred Qualifications & Special ConsiderationsKnowledge of Monmouth County and its communities.
Faculty members teaching extra courses or working additional hours during the academic year and in the summer receive additional compensation.
This position may be staffed at the Assistant Professor Level.
This position is in-person and based at the main Lincroft Campus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
